Mike and I got married in the San Antonio LDS temple on June 19, 2010. We were surrounded by family, including alot of my family that traveled from Utah and his family that traveled from Oklahoma, and enjoyed the time we had spending the morning with them. After pictures, we went back to Austin and that evening, went to our reception. It was so fun to see everyone and the time seemed to go by so fast. That evening, we hopped into our oreo'd SUV (thanks to the Bench family, my brother Mathew, and my cousins, Jessie and Jamie) and took off for San Antonio. We spent the evening in the Omni on the Riverwalk. The next morning, we drove to Port Aransas, and spent the rest of the week on the beach. We wrapped up our trip with one more day in Austin and left for Oklahoma later that week for our open house in Norman, OK the following Saturday.
We are approaching our one month anniversary of marriage tomorrow. I feel so blessed to have Mike in my life. Many people may not know, but I met Mike in Tulsa for a brief period of time at church while I was at the University of Tulsa for school. At that time, we were just friends, and didn't think we would ever see each other again. We met up several years later in Oklahoma City after my promotion as branch manager and well, the rest is history.
This blog will be used to follow our lives as we start off together and learn to laugh through the experiences we have in our marriage. I look forward to the many memories to come!
