I have decided it is time to get back into shape. I don't feel like I have lost control, but I definitely don't feel as good as I did when I was rowing 6 times a week for 7 years!!! I don't necessarily want to become obsessed with the idea of weight loss, but I have made some goals for myself. I would like to lose about 25 pounds to hit my ideal weight goal of 125. Our friends, Jackie and Brian, have been doing this calorie counter on their i-phones to help them track their weight loss. Jackie has lost approximately 15 pounds and Brian has lost about 40 pounds since they started. Mike is doing it too for his own personal reasons. We have been exercising consistently for about 3 weeks now and he went from couch potato to being able to run 25 minutes straight! We've both made healthier eating habit changes (no more regular soda for him, less carbs for me). When I was an athlete, it didn't really matter how much or what you ate. I believe rowing made me make healthier eating choices (who is going to win races by eating junk food all day???), but I was burning so many calories, I got used to eating all those calories to replace the ones I lost. This is the start of our weight loss tracker. If you are interested in making your own personal tracker, you should visit www.mypersonalfitness.com.
